It's a totally different climate and life zone, but I was pleasantly surprised that the weather was not bad outside. There could have been inches of snow on the ground, but the weather stayed in the 50's. Believe it or not, his huge lawn was still green and it was a sight for sore eyes. I live in the desert where few people have lawns, so it was nice to walk on grass instead of gravel, like we have here.

One afternoon he took us on a tour of all his property and we started with his woodshed which was jammed packed with years worth of firewood.
